Anyone who has ever had a bad Bloody Mary knows that making a good one is a fine art. Having had several that left much to be desired, I began a quest to find the best Bloody Mary in San Francisco. After many Saturday and Sunday brunches, I am bestowing the title of ‘Best Bloody Mary’ on The Brick Yard Restaurant & Bar.
The Brick Yard Bloody Mary is Simply Delicious
So, what makes this the BEST Bloody Mary? Well to start the bartender begins the drink with a very generous pour of vodka. (Check!) It is then combined with the house made Bloody Mary mix, which has a deep rich color and just the right amount of heat to put a little pep in your step. Then the bartender tops it off with just a little beer to “help meld the flavors.” Then the proverbial cherry on top are pickled vegetables that garnish the drink.
I like my Bloody Mary to be like breakfast in a glass, and The Brick Yard hits the mark. It is a perfect complement to brunch, and just right if you are looking for a little hair of the dog.
